Robin de Ponthual

Robin de Ponthual is a 13-year-old Selle Français gelding (Elf d’Or x IO de la Grange) competing at the international level with Peter Lutz. In 2016, Robin de Ponthual and Peter Lutz won the CP Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows CSI5*, and placed in the top 20 at the World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden after winning the 2015 Longines World Cup Qualifier in Las Vegas.
They have earned top ribbons at Spruce Meadows, the American Gold Cup, Old Salem Horse Show and the Hampton Classic. In 2017, he helped the Hermès U.S. Show Jumping Team secure the silver medal in the FEI Nations Cup™ CSIO4* Coapexpan in Xalapa, Mexico. The duo then went on to place second in the $380,000 Pan American CSI5* Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows. Most recently, Lutz and Robin de Ponthual captured a close second place finish in the $135,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Columbus CSI3*-W at the Split Rock Jumping Tour in October.
